The 2023 Diablo Syrah marks the return of this bottling
after its last release in 2019 and showcases Syrah from the newly planted Tai Vineyard, with a small addition of Grenache planted concurrently. Grown in the cool climate of Los Carneros, the wine expresses a brooding, savory profile, with aromas of thyme, sage, and coriander layered over blackberry and black cherry fruit. The palate is round and full-bodied, offering dense, pie-filling fruit balanced by smoky, peppery notes on the finish. The blend of 89% Syrah and 11% Grenache provides aromatic lift while preserving plush, polished tannins and the leather-and-velvet texture characteristic of well-wrought, cool-climate Syrah.
